Del-Teet 1950's Advertisment Since its beginning on Seattle's Capitol Hill in 1929, Del-Teet Furniture has provided quality home furnishing for the Northwest's finest homes. Started as a partnership, (Mr. Delaney and Mr. Teeter), Del-Teet furniture is still owned and operated by the Teeter family.

Although Del-Teet began by selling modestly priced traditional furniture, by the early 1950's, it was one of the first local stores to showcase "modern" furniture. Del-Teet helped to popularize such now famous furniture designers as; Charles Eames, Harry Bertoia, and Eero Saarinen.

Scandinavian Furniture In the late 1950's Del-Teet became one of the first local stores to import modern furniture from Scandinavia. Its clean lines and modest prices made Danish Modern a style popular with our customers until the middle 1980's.

In 1986 Del-Teet opened its Bellevue store, and closed the Seattle store in 1988.  Our Bellevue store is one of the oldest in the downtown area.  The store was built in 1932 and moved to our current location in 1959.  Even after substantial remodeling; our building retains its original character while showcasing our extensive selection of northwest contemportary furniture.Old Landmark
